"Don't Give Up On Doing Good"
Galatians 6:9
Let's not get tired of doing good, because in time we'll have a harvest if we don't give up.
This Sunday we are talking about Galatians 6:1-10. Can You believe it's Senior Sunday?! We will be recognizing and praying for our High School graduates this week. Did you know that many of those who graduating where born the same year as 9-1-1? Now they graduate during a pandemic. These kids have seen several school shootings, acts of terrorism, racist hate crimes and much more! They definitely have grown up in a world much different than the one we experienced in our school age years. This is a tough time for all of us, whether it's economic stress, stress over fear of health concerns, etc. May we be encouraged by the scripture to continue to do good, even when it's a time that we may want to only look out for ourselves. May we not give up doing good, as the harvest will be worth it. And while all of us reading this have witnessed some crazy and sad events over the years, we have also witnessed so many acts of love. We currently see our essential workers, tornado relief workers, small acts of kindness from friends and acts of love through the church. May we be inspired by the good things we see. May we remember to continue to pray, meditate on scripture, gather together with other believers (even if it's online for a while) , seek justice, pray for peace, love others, and do our part to be the light of Jesus in the world.
