Scripture

Ephesians 5:15-20

Be filled with the Spirit

15 So be careful to live your life wisely, not foolishly. 16 Take advantage of every opportunity because these are evil times. 17 Because of this, don’t be ignorant, but understand the Lord’s will. 18 Don’t get drunk on wine, which produces depravity. Instead, be filled with the Spirit in the following ways: 19 speak to each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; sing and make music to the Lord in your hearts; 20 always give thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

For the month of August we will be in a sermon series called, Reset. With school starting back, and some things getting back to some kind of normal, I’ve been challenged with resetting priorities. It’s good for us to re-evaluate what’s really important once in a while.

Have any of your priorities shifted due to Covid? Have you been putting God as a first priority or has something taken its place? How can we make wise decisions in such confusing times? Let us be challenged this Sunday. Let’s ask God for help to put Him in the number one priority spot, get our other priorities that follow in the right order, and lastly let’s take advantage of this crazy year and ask for God to use us for Kingdom work.
