Fruits of the Spirit when the world is in chaos

How has your 2020 been? I imagine it’s not how you planned it. What a year it’s been so far. We’ve been dealing with this pandemic, wrestling with when it’s safe to go out and when it’s not. Now we face issues of racism, desiring to heal, to listen, to connect, to seek justice. It’s all overwhelming isn’t it? We all have strong opinions on how to handle everything don’t we? How’s your self-control when communicating with others about the world today? It’s really hard for me to have self-control. Let’s talk about the fruits of the spirit and how the Holy Spirit can use us to bring about hope into this world.

Galatians 5:22-24
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the self with its passions and its desires.
