Esther
Sermon Notes: August 19 & August 23, 2026
Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.” When we read this scripture, does it make you consider who or what you trust? Is your trust in God, wealth, beauty, social media, status, or other people? What we trust is what guides us and what we seek. It is where we place our faith.
Esther had many incredible attributes. She was queen, beautiful, wise, wealthy, and beloved by those who knew her. However, her trust was not in these attributes, but in the Lord (Esther 4:10-17). She sought the Lord in a time when she was in danger and needed guidance and she had her people seek the Lord too. When you are in need, what do you rely upon? This is a reminder to “seek ye first the kingdom of God.”
Thankful for those witnesses who did not remain silent.
