Worship

@ Gadsden First UMC

All worship services are in-person and Sunday morning worship services are available live online (church website, church facebook page and church YouTube Channel). 

Celebration Worship

The Celebration Service meets at 9:00 am on Sunday mornings.  You will find a casual atmosphere, and contemporary music with a great band and singers.  Children ages 4 – 5th grade go to children’s church with our Children’s Director mid-way through the worship service.  A nursery is also available for children under 3. 


The Celebration worship service is in sanctuary.

Traditions Worship

The Traditions Service meets in the Sanctuary at 11:00 on Sunday mornings.  You will find a “traditional” setting, with a choir, pipe organ and piano, and liturgy that includes The Apostles’ Creed and The Lord’s Prayer.  Children ages 4 – 5th grade go to children’s church with our Children’s Minister after the first part of the service, and a nursery is available

Thursday Worship

Several years ago, GFUMC started a Thursday night worship service that meets at 5:30 pm in our Sanctuary.  The purpose of starting this service is to provide an opportunity to worship for those who have to work on Sundays, or those who will be out of town on the weekend.  This is a casual laid-back service.  We pray, and a sermon is given by one of our ministers, then we sing the “doxology” and we’re done.  It’s about a 30-35 minute service.
