August 12, 2019   What do you brag about the most?   Jeremiah 9:23-24

What do you brag about? I've noticed that you can tell what's important to people by what they brag about.. If their job is the most important thing in their life, they brag about their job. If travel and having experiences is most important, that's what they talk about. If partying or buying new clothes is what you talk about most, guess what you value most? You brag about what you value most.

Today is Claire Hedgspeth's, (my daughter), birthday. I boast most about my incredible family - Barbara, Claire and Jay, and certainly precious granddaughter - Hadley. They connect me; they ground me, and make me a better person. I am blessed to have them. As annoying as that may be to some of you, I really enjoy talking about them and posting photos on social media about them. It is easy to be consumed about something you care about, isn't it? In today's 3D scripture, God says you should boast most about your relationship with God.Why? Because that's what life is all about. Knowing God is what matters most. The God of the universe loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. Getting close to God will give you peace and perspective. 3D Scripture Reading:   Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NLT)23 This is what the Lord says: "Don't let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.
24 But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Ask yourself?     If you value your relationship with God how can you brag about Him?
